We're planning to have big fun with Queen Anita and I think you should join us. It'll do ya some good and that's a promise from uncle Mikey!

Once again I have to apologize for not updating this site often  enough. Well, it's not like I've been slobbering my life away in some back street gin mill. Certainly not! Ol' Mikey has been making hay while the sun shines. D'calle Son has been rehearsing with a vengence and now rivals the sound of any  salsa band from the early days in NYC.

Also, Clave y Afinque will be at La Pica on Saturday 10/31. We're really proud of this sound. It's something really different and hot! Be the first to say 'I knew them when...'.

Last but not least, Joel and I will be back at the Grove and taking no prisoners. As always, we will perform with wild, reckless abandon.

As the festival season comes to a close the salsa season seems to be gearing up promising a winter mucho caliente! Clave y Afinque is working on new stuff and will come charging from the gate in a few weeks. Also, I've been recording with a new salsa group doing originals called D'Calle Son and these guys are the real deal, Neal! We're warm-up for NG2 and Naldo from Puerto Rico this Friday the 18th at the Rave on 24th and Wisconsin. Check this site for a sample song.

Deirdre Fellner on vocals, Jeff Stoll on piano and vocals, Door Co.'s own Pat Judy on drums and vocals and Mike Miller on sax, flute and mirth will play in City Park in Jacksonport from 2-4PM. On their 'Kickin' butt or takin' names' tour.

This is shaping up to be a great summer. Let's all just quit our jobs and just hang out! Or maybe not. But you can see and hear a lot of good this Summer. Check out the calendar for up coming gigs with Clave y Afinque (muy bueno!) and rock ledgends the Wrest at Summerfest. Also, Mondays at The Italian Community Center are a blast. Send me your digital photos of everything but the 'buck nekkid jello jump' and I'll put them on the site.

Together again! Joel and I will be at Baby Grand on Bluemound after nearly a year of doing our seperate projects. I'm really looking foward to playing with the 'funkmiester' again and proving that we are up and taking nourishment. Wednesday, June 3, 7PM-11PM.

This Saturday (5/16) from 1PM-4PM I'll be playing with Clave y Afinque at Cubanitas block party on Milwaukee Ave. just one block north of Wisconsin. This will be a real blast and if you haven't seen this group yet you need to put this at the top of your 'to do' list! Dance lessons will be given and don't be surprised if you see ol' Mikey out there learning the salsa!
